Our last group of the season in the Alps left to-day after a week that only saw snow depths increasing! 21 clients had a great time, both on snow and off ...! Some are already starting the countdown to Hintertux in November: 30 weeks to go!
The 'Tafjordfjella Explorer' group have had a superb week with excellent snow and weather conditions and some wonderful summit days. The Geilo & Finse group return home to-morrow, 14th April.
Draft programme for the 2013 - 14 season will be ready late May/early June. All on our database will be sent a copy - if you think you are not on our database and wish a copy then do get in touch.

For winter or summer DNT hut use, you can buy your DNT membership from us. Membership will save you hut costs and give you priority at busy times. The 'huts' are fantastic value in remote and very beautiful surroundings.

We're looking forward to skiing with you this winter! Do book soon as bookings are good and more are coming in all the time now.
'Core staff', John, Neil, Julia and Bonny will be instructing in the Alps but may well be joined by others. Our very experienced nordic leaders like Katherine and Tom will no doubt be leading our Scandanavian nordic trips.
Note - we use only NGB, i.e. British Association of Snowsports, professionally-qualified instructors and only run ability-specific tours or instructional groups. For instructional weeks with an apparently wide range of levels, we always have sub-groups for coaching. We do our utmost to ensure that clients will enjoy, benefit and be safe in the trips they join.

What we do during the rest of the year. We have been rock-climbing and mountaineering for longer than we've been skiing! In our ski 'off-season', we work leading some expedition-standard, high altitude treks but mainly mountaineering expeditions in the Greater Ranges, (particularly the Himalayas), with a leading, high-quality UK company. Since 1988, Bonny's led summits of over 7000m while John has been over 8000m. He has led Cho Oyu, the 6th highest peak in the world. And telemark-skied Mustagh Ata, a 7500m peak in Singkiang Province, China with clients.
We live on Anglesey just across from Snowdonia, so if any of you would like to walk, scramble or rockclimb, get in touch and we can set up a course. We can also offer Nordic Walking. It's a great way to learn some of the techniques used in nordic skiing as well as excellent for fitness. All this in the superb 'Sea and Summit' scenery of Snowdonia & Anglesey around us.
Of course we climb and ski just for pleasure too - all the time. We love mountains!
2011: John lad a successful trip to climb the highest peaks of the Altai mountains of Mongolia.
Bonny is off on Oct 6th to lead a superb and remote trek in the west of Nepal: the Kanchenjunga Circuit. This is one of the most beautiful & undeveloped ares in Nepal and the trip will be 4 weeks & 1 day long. Get in touch if you want to join her!
